Mr Skurr's Coaching Role

Jon Skurr, Head of PE and newly appointed Assistant Headteacher at Howden School and Technology College, has many sporting interests outside school and we have been pleased to support his leadership as coach to the Ireland team in the Rugby Sevens European championship.

We are all very proud of Mr Skurr’s success so far and students at the school will also benefit from his experiences of coaching at this level. We have been watching the progress of the Ireland team avidly and are delighted to see that they have qualified for the World Cup finals next year. This is a great personal achievement for Mr Skurr and we hope that he will go on to become Howden School’s first ever World Cup medal winner!
