Howden School & Technology College

Students from Howden School and Technology College travelled to the Palace of Westminster recently to take par tin the Science debate. Four Year 10 girls won their place after beating off opponents at the regional finals in Hull.

The girls came top out of the 10 schools entered in the regional final and went on to pitch their idea in the Grand Chamber at the Palace in front of MPs. They also got the chance to have a tour of Westminster and meet the MPs. Although the Howden School team were pipped at the post in the national finals the students did ‘an amazing job’. Dr Hadfield, Head of Science now plans to deliver after-school workshops to other students to carry on raising awareness.
